Terms of Service
Service Agreement
1. Definition of Service and Platform
The Datacodex platform represents a dual entity: it is an open Arabic knowledge base offering technical education in the science of data recovery, and it serves as the digital front for requesting professional data recovery engineering services. These services are executed exclusively in our labs or partner facilities (currently at: Al-Fares Computer Maintenance & Data Recovery Center).
2. The "Successful Recovery" Criteria
Due to the inherently complex and unpredictable nature of digital and physical storage degradation, a recovery operation is legally defined as "Successful" when we can extract 80% or more of the target files or directories—as specified by you during the evaluation phase—in a readable and uncorrupted format. Recoveries yielding less than 80% are subject to secondary evaluation and negotiation.
3. Limitation of Liability (No 100% Guarantees)
Our engineers utilize the absolute apex of available recovery technologies (such as PC-3000 systems and ISO-certified Clean Rooms). However, we do not offer an absolute (100%) guarantee of data retrieval across all cases. Severe physical trauma, such as deep rotational platter scratches, can render data physically and permanently unrecoverable regardless of the technology applied.
4. Informational Content Limitations
All articles, technical breakdowns, and case studies published on this site are designed strictly for educational purposes and industry awareness. They do not constitute personalized engineering advice, nor are they a "how-to" manual for repairing critical storage media containing vital data.
5. Anti-DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Warning
Attempting data recovery using free/pirated software or opening hard drives outside of certified Clean Room environments almost inevitably results in catastrophic, permanent data loss. Any tools utilized or procedures attempted based on your interpretation of our educational content are executed at your sole and absolute risk. Datacodex assumes zero liability for data destruction resulting from DIY attempts.
6. Intellectual Property
All content published on this platform (textual explanations, simplified architectural diagrams, insights) is the intellectual property of Datacodex. We encourage knowledge sharing and permit quoting segments of our content, provided you include a clear attribution and direct backlink to the original source.
7. Amendments to Terms
We explicitly reserve the right to update and amend these Terms of Service at any time to reflect advancing technological and regulatory standards. Your continued use of our website or submission of hardware for service following any modifications constitutes your implied acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by, and shall be interpreted in accordance with, the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
